This project addresses the need for high school students to expand the way they think about problem solving and understand how creativity will make them better scientists, engineers, writers and artists. Public schools are having a harder and harder time with imposed standardized tests, tight budgets and a lack of creative direction.
Students need to be able to think and test ideas without the fear of failure or grades. “If you are not prepared to be wrong, you’ll never come up with anything original”” Sir Ken Robinson - This program is a chance to be wrong while testing ideas that are worth while for students. There are similar ideas out there - such as, The Idea Accelerator and the Tinkering School are just a few. We hope to see this program expand over the next two years.
